Medicare, Medicaid, & ACA (Affordable Care Act)

Medicare & Medicaid

Medicare is for those who are 65 and older, or who have a qualifying disability under the age of 65. We know all too well that when it comes time to switch over or enroll into Medicare Health Insurance, it can be daunting and overwhelming. That's why we make it easy by taking a holistic approach to determine what plans and benefits you're eligible for in your area and which one best fits YOU. We do this by meticulously verifying your doctors, prescription medications, health conditions (if any), and what types of lifestyle services you may or may not need. Working and partnering with all of the top health insurance companies across the country allows us to better serve our clients regardless of where they live, ensuring that we will be able to find a suitable option for you 100% of the time.

Medicare Advantage (Part C)

People who have Medicare can qualify for more benefits through a Medicare Advantage or Part C plan. Medicare Advantage plans will cover your Parts A, B, and D, Which gives you access to $0 premium plans, annual out of pocket limits, and additional benefits for things like dental, vision, hearing, and over the counter (OTC) needs. Medicare Advantage plans give you the ability to benefit by using your plan's network to help reduce out of pocket costs and copays.

Standalone PDP (Prescription Drug Plan) (Part D)

For some, a standalone PDP plan could make more sense combined with a Medicare Supplement plan. We work with you to verify your prescription medications in order to ensure they are covered. We do a cost comparison between several plans from different health insurance companies so that way you can feel confident at the pharmacy when you pickup your refills.

Medicare+Medicaid DSNP (Dual Special Needs Plan)

If you have or qualify for Medicaid through your state, you may also be eligible for additional benefits with specialized Medicare+Medicaid plans called Dual Special Needs Plans. These plans cover expenses that would typically be an out of pocket cost for someone only on a Medicare plan. They also typically provide additional benefits for things like food and utilities. Medicaid income guidelines differ from state to state so we make sure you know where and how you qualify.

ACA - Affordable Care Act (Obamacare)

The Affordable Care Act (also known as Obamacare) offers patients mostly under the age of 65 who may have been uninsured due to preexisting conditions or limited finances the ability to secure health plans through the health insurance marketplace in their state. ACA was enacted in March of 2010 with 3 primary goals:

  • Make affordable health insurance available to more people. The law provides consumers with subsidies ("premium tax credits") that lower costs for households with incomes between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level (FPL)

  • Expand the Medicaid program to cover all adults with income below 138% of the FPL.

  • Support innovative medical care delivery methods generally designed to lower the costs of health care.
